We are hiring for part-time positions, with the intent for the positions to become full time.
From late fall through early spring, the positions are within the hatchery, assisting with all hatchery functions.
From late spring throughout the summer, the positions are focused on shellfish and nursery and growout operations Standard tasks:
-growing microalgae -spawning broodstock -raising larval shellfish -cleaning tanks -maintaining saltwater systems -collecting production and water quality data At our company we have a mix of different responsibilities, and we all work together as a team to get the jobs done.
Hatchery work is mainly a seasonal occupation, so as the hatchery slows down in the spring/summer, the position would transition to managing our shellfish nursery systems at several sites around Bourne and Falmouth.
This will include maintaining the shellfish nurseries, and monitoring subsequent intermediate shellfish nursery sites.
